INTRODUCTION

YWAM, founded in 1960, utilizes over 12,000 volunteer staff based in over 1,200 locations in over 140 countries.  In addition, tens of thousands more people are involved in short-term mission opportunities each year.  Coming from many different backgrounds and working on a wide range of opportunities, YWAM is united in our desire to be part of bringing the love of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard and to those who have had the name of Jesus misrepresented in the past.  It is about bringing the transforming power of Jesus Christ to a broken and desperate world.  It’s about leading people in to the fulfillment of their hearts.  It’s about becoming less so that He can become more.

YWAM operates through three arms of ministry:

• Evangelism – spreading God’s message,
• Training – preparing workers to reach others,
• Mercy Ministries – showing God’s love through practical assistance.

Jesus said, “Come and see.” We challenge you to come and see; experience God’s presence, discover His plan for you and the nations, and pursue your place in the Great Commission.
