Whether the need is for $5 or $5,000, if you don’t have it and you don’t know where it will come from, it’s always a miracle when it comes! Again, God has provided. This is starting to be pretty fun!
Barb and I were coming out of a time of prayer when a young man approached us. He said the Lord put it on his heart to make the total payment for week 9. He didn’t know how much the payment for that week would be, but he reiterated that the Lord told him to cover it. (For those who have not been following this faith project, we have been making payments every Tuesday to a boat builder for our first YWAM vessel. The payment has doubled each week, as we felt the Lord direct this expression of making payments.) The payment was $256 and we, with big smiles, took it to the boat builder last week! Praise the Lord. He’s doing this!
This week’s payment is to be $512. Barb and I were away from Homer most of last week and when we got back, some of the staff were pretty excited to ask if we had seen the email notifications about donations that came in. We had not. They were for a total of $628! Ha! We’re going to have $116 to apply to next week’s payment. God is so good and faithful!
I’m so excited to share this story. I hope you are blessed and encouraged to step out in faith as He directs you in your own life. There are always times of hesitation and even fear of being presumptuous. But, I love what Graeme Cook says about stepping out in faith, “You don’t have to worry about being presumptuous. There is nothing in the Bible about being presumptuous with your expressions of faith. If you ever do get to a place where you are getting ahead of God, He is able to show you and pull you back if needed. But always remember that He is well pleased with those who step out in faith.”
I’m so thankful that we have had 10 weeks of small payments. This has given us time to talk as a staff about this project and come together in total unity that this is from the Lord. It has also given us time to form a strategy of communication about this project. This blog is part of that strategy.
Can I ask that you consider becoming part of this story? Would you consider making a donation toward our first vessel? (We will have graphics on our web site soon.) Just click on the link below and it will take you to our web site on which you can make an offering through PayPal.
Thank you all for your incredible generosity toward the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
